Born on 10 July 1952, Dr. Vidyabhushana learnt first from his father, Govindacharya, and later from B. V. Narayana Aithal, R. K. Srikantan, and T. V. Gopalakrishnan.
His Carnatic training supports a repertoire centred on Haridasa compositions and clear attention to words, meaning, and devotional expression.
