Academic engagement

On 21 November 2024, Dr. Vidyabhushana inaugurated Kanaka Kirtana Gangotri at Mangalore University. The Centre for Research on Kanakadasa organised the programme, which brought together 173 singers from educational institutions, university groups, and the public.

Philosophy and teaching

In a first-hand Kannada interview, he described Haridasa Sahitya as lived literature. He said that it remains relevant across time and social position, and named Sri Vidyamanya Teertha as the teacher who encouraged him to sing.

Cultural service

A 2017 Star of Mysore report identified Dr. Vidyabhushana as founder trustee of Bhakti Bharathi Prathistana and linked the trust with Purandara Dasara Aradhana programmes. The same report described Purandarashrama as a project at that time. This site does not claim a current construction status.
