Editorial policy
This page explains how the official archive checks facts, uses sources, labels translations, updates changing records, and responds to corrections.
What we publish
The archive covers verified biography, musical training, selected recordings, Haridasa terminology, public honours, concerts, media references, cultural work, and Journal guides. It does not claim to be a complete catalogue of every performance or release.
Source order
We prefer official records, first-hand interviews, organiser announcements, recognised institutions, original publications, and verified artist channels. Secondary summaries are used only when the original record is unavailable and the distinction is clear.
Dates and changing facts
Publication dates describe when content first appeared. Modification dates change only when the visible record changes materially. Event status, ticket details, platform statistics, and release registers carry review dates because they can change.
Translations
English and Kannada editions preserve the same claims, citations, links, headings, and source relationships. First-hand Kannada statements translated into English are labelled as translations. Proper names and source titles remain identifiable.
Corrections
A correction request should identify the page, disputed statement, proposed replacement, and strongest available source. We review the evidence before changing visible copy, metadata, structured data, feeds, or machine-readable records.
Technology and review
Technology may support transcription, translation checks, structured data, accessibility testing, and technical validation. Published facts, source links, and editorial decisions are reviewed before release. Automation is not treated as a substitute for evidence.
Knowledge corpus license
The public knowledge corpus at /knowledge.json may be accessed, cited, and quoted for accurate reference. Attribute Dr. Vidyabhushana Official, preserve the relevant source link, and do not imply artist endorsement. This license does not grant rights to reproduce photographs, audio, video, trademarks, or third-party material cited by the corpus. Those rights remain with their respective owners.
